Investigation on tensile properties and analysis of wear property of glass fiber-epoxy-nanoclay ternary nanocomposite using response surface methodology

The current study’s objective is to investigate the impact of nanoclay on tensile and wear properties glass fiber-epoxy-nanoclay ternary nanocomposite. Three types composites are produced by hand lay-up process compression molding. Tensile tests executed according ASTM standards. findings disclosed that enhanced causes for failure under load revealed SEM micrographs. Response surface methodology (RSM) applied analyse loss “Box–Behnken method” employed experimental design establish main interaction effects among factors comprising (NC), load, sliding distance in three levels (0, 2, 4 wt.% nanoclay; 1, 3, 5 kg load; 300, 600, 900 rpm distance). RSM offers a strong confidence model each response. Also, models often used estimate optimum case with minimum mass loss. results estimated combination nanoclay, 1 300 distance. Experimental test an agreement predicted values.
